Just in case you tuned in late today, you might notice a little something different on the very tip top of my blog. Meet my new banner, commissioned by children's book author/illustrator and rad man about town, Zack Rock.
I've been Zack's number one fan for a while now, so, of course, when I wanted someone to illustrate a new banner for me, he was the go-to guy. Zack started reading my blog some time ago and leaving comments, and one day, I found myself wandering onto his website and instantly fell in love with his work.
So much so, that you might remember, I commissioned him to do a portrait of my son atop a peregrine falcon.
Fast forward to today, Zack has a brand-spanking new MA degree in the Children's Illustration from The Cambridge School of Art and has just finished writing and illustrating his first children's book, snatches of which you can see, here. And, yes ladies, the man is single and currently looking for an agent. I can't be more proud or pleased with the results, and please let this young artist know you think my new banner is awesome by writing a comment of love below and/or signing him to a book deal. I'll stop now before Zack never speaks to me again for over-gushing...
Happy Monday, indeed.
(Oh, wait.... a special prize will go to the first reader to guess the book my son is reading in the drawing. Happy guessing!)
