Update Friday: Lucky Mrs. Ticklefeather
Since we were talking J.P. this week, I decided to pull out the Lucky Mrs. Ticklefeather post from '08 and update it with all new scans. So, enjoy!
And don't forget to enter to win the Great Monday Give this week... with an awesome prize of 25 vintage books! There are three ways to win, too.
One... Comment on the original post, here, as usual.
Two... Follow me on Twitter and then post about the Giveaway using the hash tag #vintagekidsbooksrule.
Three... friend me on Facebook and post a comment saying you want to win on my wall.
I'll pick one name from each of these avenues (could be the same person) and then randomly pick a winner from the three. By entering the give all three ways, it ups your chances of winning.
Happy Friday!

Pssst This story is anthologized with oversized pictures in Favorite Funny Animal Stories by Dorothy Kunhardt. There are several copies currently available on Amazon for under $1.00. Love your blog.
I gave you a shout-out today on my blog and have gotten some nice responses. I hope you get lots of traffic!
Is the full book reprinted in that anthology? I've yet to find it otherwise.
golden gems has the book scanned in full if you are interested.... http://goldengems.blogspot.com/2009/06/coming-soonlucky-mrs-ticklefeather.html
From what I can tell from looking at the scans on goldengems, the whole book is in the anthology with the exception of two pictures - the one of the street opposite Mrs. Ticklefeather's tall residence and the one of her bedroom window opposite the picture of her reading in bed. Also the picture of the children playing at the bottom of the page with the school is missing. The full text seems to be there. Totally worth $0.37 I'd say. (The book also has "Little Peewee" with pictures by J. P. Miller and a number of stories illustrated by Garth Williams.)
This was my favorite book when I was a child. I can remember reading it over and over again. Would love to find a copy of it to read to my granddaughter.
