Happy 2012, all! This holiday felt like it lasted forever. We were so busy, I think in the two weeks off from school we read about five picture books, and that lack of reading is saying a lot for this family. It was a great one, but I really missed being here and the beauty of everyday ho hum.
That said, I finally bit the bullet and gave up my trusty Android for an iPhone, for the main reason that I've been dying to try Instragram. So, for all you iPhone users out there, check me out at @vintagekidsbooks where you'll see images like the above.
Speaking of which, before the holidays I was gifted a large stack of very-much-loved vintage early readers, and for this week's give, I'm passing along five of the paperbacks to one of you (not necessarily those in the picture, though). I was able to get to Austin while in Texas for the holidays and ran to Recycled Reads, their children's section was awesome and I thought of this blog.
