Just to let you folks who abstain from blog reading on the weekends, I've started an ongoing and occasional new weekend feature here on VKBMKLs. I hope to interview contemporary authors about their vintage book leanings and thought Lane Smith was a great place to start. Author and illustrator of many books, most recently Grandpa Green, he is also the co-curator of Curious Pages, a Website where he shows off some of the awesome and quirky books in his vintage children's book collection. Check the two-part interview out here.
And, for the Great Monday Give this morning, I'll be giving away a newish but used paperback copy of Brian Wildsmith's Squirrels. All you have to do to be entered to win is comment on this post between now and 10/9, Sunday at 11:59 PM. A winner will be selected at random and announced the following day.
The winner of last week's give is Cory! Congrats and e-mail me your info to webe(at)soon(dot)com.
Bye all!
