Lyle is so like the "crocie" I placed in a story called "Philosopher Chimp"-http://mscomfortzone.blogspot.com/2011/06/recently-published-in-happy-valley.html....It would be lovely to have the book for the real little boy the real "crocie" was given to last Christmas.
I have long thought I needed to have this book for my girls...their school's mascot is a Crocodile! :)

I love vintage and books, too :) All our books have a long waiting list of readers on them...my kids are aged 3, 2, and 1 :) But it's great to know they will all get so much love out of them!

I absolutely love Lyle. It is one of my favorite children' books. HBO had made a short musical cartoon of it when I was a kid and I would just cry and cry when the man came and took him away. Ok, I'll admit it. I still get a little teary eyed watching it. I would really love to win this book for my children.
