Yes, it's update Friday, again... the day when I reach back into the archives -- way back when I used to only include one scan -- and pick a book to update with all new scans and info. Because it's getting to be that time of year again, I'm dusting off a post from 2008 that highlights my number one all-time favorite childhood book. The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes. Such a classic and unbelievably uplifting book, you in no way need to believe in the Easter Bunny to fall in love. Enjoy!

We love it too!
I love, love, love this book! We just checked it out from the library because I haven't been able to find my own copy after we moved a year and a half ago. )-:

After your post last year I found a copy at Savers! It was too serendipitous.
This book always uplifts me. The little mother bunny predates women's lib, but she's a real fighter. I was read this book as a child and passed it on to my children. Hope to share it with grandchildren some day.
Oh the beautiful Pastel Book that I have loved all my life...and the one which made me think like a strong little girl and woman. The gorgeous treasure she carried to the little blonde boy up on the mountain top has made me love peek eggs to this very day. And, I passed this love on to three daughters, one of whom has passed it on to you.
Oh, the beautiful book I have loved all of my life, which guided me to be a strong little girl and woman. The wondrous pastel colors, mounds of Easter Eggs, the treasure of the gift carried to the little blonde boy on the snow covered mountaintop thrilled me then as it still does. Caused me to pass my love on to three little girls, one of whom has passed it on to you.
