I thought once my son started back at preschool I was supposed to have more time, not less? UGH! So, to get the end of the day rolling... I am announcing the Great Monday Give, and am excited to say that although it is a well-loved and slightly triaged copy, I am offering up an old school I Am A Bunny. It may be a first edition, I don't know, but the colors here are so much more vibrant than on the reprints. One of my all-time favorite childhood reading memories. Arr that is so sweet. I am glad that I found your blog, what a great idea. Interestingly enough our children adore my old books over their new ones. One book that they do adore is "the pokey little puppy" and coming in second "the shy little kitten."

Richard Scarry - always a childhood favorite!
This was my son's favorite book when he was a baby... and he ended up eating part of it because I left it on the dresser too close to his crib. What a surprise to find it in there the next day missing most of its spine.
Forget about how much children love or would love this book - I love it! And greedly want it in my Richard Scarry childless home. Yes, please.

I got to see the original art from this at a 'children's book illustrator' exhibit in June - out of all of the illustrations, the four panels from this book were my favorite!
