Normally I wouldn't give props to a new children's book, but considering this one was illustrated by one of my favorite vintage kids' chroniclers (Retro Kid and Retro Teen), I couldn't help myself. Ward Jenkins, quite simply rocks in every way possible. Like many bloggers will attest to I'm sure, Ward's blog was the first one I started to read with regularity and was one of my main inspirations for starting VKBMKLs. He is talented. He is fun. He is what back in my publishing days we would have referred to as "the real thing." So, without further ado, here it is...
