Hey there... just a reminder that The Great Monday Give has been extended until next Monday. To be entered to win this cute copy of Richard Scarry's Rabbit and His Friends, click here and comment before midnight, Sunday ~ June 7.
Also, I wanted to mention, somehow The Red Balloon, the 1956 Academy Award-winning short French film, got released on DVD finally last year and I didn't hear about it. We just received our copy in the mail and watched it this weekend and the boy went wild. I haven't seen him laugh like that, ever. The restoration is absolutely glorious and the color, breathtaking. Really, such a flawless and impeccable film, and one that I only saw once in my youth but was forever burned into my brain. Not to be missed by any child, or grown-up for that matter. (Full disclosure: he is actually watching it for a second time as I write this. Bad mommy!)
