Ha. You guys thought I wasn't gonna show, didn't you? My son swam today for the first time unassisted, so I've been too proud to settle down and write, but hey, one small swim for man... The Great Monday Give for today is a great 10-year-old paperback copy of a perennial fave, Millions of Cats. To be entered to win a most-loved Gag classic, simply comment on this post before midnight ~ Sunday ~ May 24. A winner will be selected at random and posted here the next day.
And so, the winner of last week's give of the Berenstain Bears collection is... TA DA... Vivi. Congrats and send me your info to webe(at)soon(dot)com. Shortly thereafter, I will send you out the book love. Tootles for now, kids.

Oh I love this book!
Oh, I had forgotten about this one. I have an eight month old daughter who just lights up whenever she sees a cat, so this should absolutely go on our reading list!
DD loves cats! She would love this book :)
I've never seen this one before, what a gorgeous colourful picture, I'm intrigued to know more about the story.
Your great gives are great!
Hmmm, haven't read this one, but your review has made me as curious as a cat :)
My son will love this book!

Sweetness! This book looks great, though I've never seen it in person.
Congrats to you and your son on his big swim!
I loved this book. It was so different than other kid's books.
I'm new here, and I just loved this book as a kid - thanks for the chance to win it! And great site, by the way - I'll be visiting here often!
Congrats to Vivi on that great win!

Hi to all. THis is my first comment here I guess.
I check your blog almost every day and it's great.
I am a chidren book illustrator from Portugal. Love cats. Wanda Gag is brilliant. Te one that I know best of Gag is "The Funny Thing".
New to me.
My cat-lover son would be so thrilled to add this to our shelves!
I don't know this book... But would love to have it in our collection... My kids love cats, and I plan on doing a Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hat" and all sorts of whiskered cats themed party for my daughter in December. This would be a great gift for her. have a great day.
Almost every day, you bring back a memory. Thanks
Great story, wonderful illustrations make us really want this book for our growing collection.
I love Wanda Gag's books. My favorites are this one and "Gone is Gone".
Excellent- I love this book.
I've always liked this book but I'd have to say my favorite Wanda Gag book would be Nothing At All. That is a vintage book I'd love to find.
