It's Monday again! Time for The Great Monday Give. For those of you just tuning in, Monday is the day that Vintage Kids' Books My Kid Loves gives away a copy of a free vintage kid's book that I just happen to have sitting around. (For a full explanation of why I do this, click here.) Today's giveaway? A nice/hard/used/ex-library copy of the Caldecott Medal winning Sam, Bangs & Moonshine.
To enter to win, simply leave a comment on this post before midnight, Sunday ~ April 6. The winner will be announced next Monday, along with the following week's giveaway book.
For those of you who commented on last week's Great Monday Give... the winner of Gilberto and the Wind (by the complicated and random blind scroll and point method) is.... Stefan, Sarah and Lukka who had this to say...
Gilberto and the Wind looks so sweet.
I love the simplicity of the illustrations.
Thanks for commenting guys, congrats and enjoy!!! Please e-mail me at webe@soon.com with your info, and I'll get the book out to you via media mail ASAP!
To my other loyal 20 readers... keep trying. I've got lots of books, and apparently nothing but time.
this is one I don't know, but would love to learn more about
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful book. I teach a class full of 3rd graders, and love introducing them to stories they have not heard before.
ReplyDeletehooray for me I hope! BTW: my hubby is a 6th grade teacher and deals with the ickiness of 6th grade divas every day. It was a bad year for me, too!
ReplyDeleteI loved your review of this one:) It looks like it would speak to the little girl that I was and am.
ReplyDeleteYay--count me in!
ReplyDeleteI love little story tellers, and would love to own this book. Thank you for your great giveaways.
ReplyDeleteoh, I hope I can enter this too! I Love this book! AND surprisingly (my infant has 2 bookcases full already, haha) we don't have it yet!
ReplyDeleteI'll just keep trying. This is so cool of you!
ReplyDeletePick me! Pick me!
ReplyDeleteOh I do hope this lovely book would fall into my lap.
ReplyDeleteCount me in too!
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard much about this book before, but I'd love to give it a whirl!
ReplyDeleteNow, there's one Caldecott winner I don't have yet! I started my son's collection of Cadecott award books with one of my old favorites as a kid, Where the Wild Things Are, and that led to picking up and enjoying many, many more--I haven't got my hands on all of them (not by a long shot--there are ALOT of them through the years). Beyond the Caldecotts of course, there are so many more great children's books we enjoy--it's makes for an endless pleasure to discover the next gem or revisit the old favorite. Our (MY) favorite children's author is Steig. [Don't tell anyone how much fun I'm having reading children's books--it's all for the boy, you know.]
